Grommets are used to keep the needle in place and simply slip over the armature bar peg. The Snug Fit Rubber Grommets are designed with more of a taper to give a better fit. They are lightweight and easy to use. The Grommets are made of rubber and are considered single use; you should change Grommets with every needle change or at least every session.
