Do I really need to wrap my tattoo after my appointment?

Yes, absolutely. Wrapping your tattoo protects it from bacteria, rubbing, and irritation in those crucial first healing hours.
DERMOR keeps your skin safe while helping it heal faster and better. No scabs, no fading, no drama.

How long should I leave DERMOR on?

Most people wear their first DERMOR layer for 12–24 hours, then replace it with a clean piece for 2–4 more days. Always listen to your artist and your skin - if it starts lifting or leaking, replace it sooner.

Can I shower with it on?

Yup! DERMOR is 100% waterproof.
Shower like a normal human and stop stressing about splashing your new tattoo. Just avoid hot tubs, pools, and long soaks while healing.

Will it irritate my skin?

DERMOR is hypoallergenic and latex-free, so it’s safe for most people.
If you’re extremely sensitive or allergic to adhesives, do a patch test first or talk to your artist. And don’t worry - there’s no gooey ointment required.

Is it better than plastic wrap?

Way better. Plastic wrap traps moisture and doesn’t breathe, which can slow healing and cause irritation. DERMOR acts like a second skin - breathable, flexible, and actually made for tattoo healing. 

What sizes does it come in?

How do I apply DERMOR at home?

Cut a piece slightly larger (We recommend 2" around all sides if you like to leave it on for longer) than your tattoo, peel the backing, and apply it flat onto clean, dry skin.
Press it down around the edges to seal it.
Need help? There are plenty of video tutorials online - or ask your artist to show you once before you go.

Will it hurt to take off?

Not really, but go slow. Peel gently from the edge under warm water or in the shower if it’s sticky. Pull out away from your body, not over the bandage.
Don’t rip it off like a Band-Aid — you're healing, not waxing..

Can I use it for multiple tattoos?

Absolutely. One roll or box covers a LOT. Depending on the size of your tattoos, a roll could last through dozens of applications. You’re in control - just cut the size you need.

To Apply Dermor:

STEP ONE: once your finished getting a tattoo/tattooing: allow tattoo to bleed for a few minutes, wipe the tattoo with water and soap (or Electrum Cleanse), wipe again with ONLY water, allow tattoo to airdry / dry with clean paper towel. 

STEP TWO: cut to size or use the pre-cut sheets. Bend the sheet at the seem in the front plastic side. Peel the back paper side of the sheet, do the two small sections on the sides first, then remove the larger middle section, place on dry skin, allowing 2" of non tattooed skin around the entire tattoo. Once on the skin, peel at the bend (bending it makes it easier to get the seam) - continue doing this til the entire fresh tattoo is completely covered.

STEP THREE: once at home, we recommend leaving Dermor on the skin for 24hrs (if it is leaking before 24hrs, immediately remove the bandage- see step four) 

How To Remove Dermor:

STEP FOUR:  find an edge and lift. Pull the bandage out away from the skin at a 90 degree angle - do not pull over the tattoo. Do not pull fast, a slow steady pace to see how it is removing. Yes, this will not always be comfortable, but it works better in a steamy hot enviroment like a shower. If you see ink "coming out/off" - do not panic - you will see that the tattoo ink is still in the skin, this is normal and is just extra ink that has leaked out.

STEP FIVE: wash the tattoo with water and mild soap or Electrum Cleanse, allow tattoo to air dry or pat dry with clean paper towel.

STEP SIX: reapply Dermor to skin following step one, allowing 2" around the edge of the tattooed area. Leave Dermor for another 48-72 hrs (recommended, do not leave more than 4 days). When ready to remove, follow step four.
